CoreMedia migration and feature development

One of the central challenges was the migration of CoreMedia, the content management system that forms the foundation of the web portal. Our experts successfully carried out the migration from CoreMedia 5 to 7, from 7 to 8, and from 8 to 10. These updates have enabled Payback to benefit from the latest features and enhancements, creating a future-proof foundation for their web portal. Furthermore, we have extensively worked on feature development and bug fixing of the software solution. In this process, we utilized technologies such as PUG templates, TypeScript, JSP/Freemarker, Java, Spring, and CoreMedia to create a powerful and scalable platform.

Integrated rewards shop and coupon center

The integration of the rewards shop has been another crucial step in the development of the web portal. We utilized the REST API to seamlessly integrate the rewards shop into the frontend. As a result, Payback customers can redeem rewards conveniently and securely and benefit from attractive offers. In addition, we have developed a new coupon center completely in the frontend to offer Payback users a smooth and engaging shopping experience.

 

 

Complex form solution and payment service provider connection

In order to enable complex multi-level forms, we have designed and developed a tailor-made form solution. This solution has ensured that Payback customers can easily interact with the page, no matter how complex the forms are. In addition, we have implemented the connection of payment service providers to ensure secure and smooth processing of payments on the web portal.

Operational support and test suite

We also supported Payback in automating the deployment processes to ensure smooth operation of the web portal. In addition, we have built a comprehensive test suite that covers all areas of the test pyramid. Through regular testing and migration to newer frameworks, we have ensured high quality, reliability and security of the web portal.

Technologies and tools

We used a variety of technologies and tools to implement the Payback web portal. These included IntelliJ as our development environment, CoreMedia in versions 8 and 10 as a content management system, Jira and Confluence for effective project management and documentation, Gitlab for version control and collaboration, ActionScript, MXML, EXML, Java and SCSS for programming.
