We are pleased to be able to support Arvato as CoreMedia and Java Enterprise specialists in various projects over the years. Since 2016, we have successfully completed several projects together, contributing our extensive IT expertise during the projects as well as in training the employees.

CoreMedia Migration

CoreMedia migrations have been the most frequently implemented projects. The customers for these have primarily come from the industrial sector, but also from government and e-commerce industries. Our years of experience with CoreMedia and our dedicated development team have contributed to solving even the most complex migration issues. In these cases, the focus has mostly been on technological changes by CoreMedia and the integration of customer-specific customizations.

Employee training and drivers of innovation

Our extensive experience with the CoreMedia content management system and Java Enterprise web development has enabled us to familiarize both clients and developers with the latest technologies, particularly in the CoreMedia domain. We had the opportunity to guide and coach the individuals involved in Arvato’s initial use of Freemarker as a templating engine, along with the associated transition from JSPs. Other technologies that we introduced in collaboration with the Arvato team included using MXML instead of EXML for CoreMedia Studio and implementing the CoreMedia Connector to integrate the CMS into an existing online shop.

Full-text search

CoreMedia not only provides the ability to extensively manage data but also to search for it comprehensively. Based on the CoreMedia Feeder and a Solr search, we were able to implement a full-text search that allows users to perform full-text searches across extensive product descriptions.
